The Professional Institute for Hotel and Catering Services in Chivasso was established in the 1997/98 school year, following its detachment from the IPSSAR "G. Colombatto" in Turin; two years later it has become an associated school of the "C. Ubertini" Higher Institute of Agricultural Education in Caluso. 

The establishment of a hotel-oriented high school in the Chivasso area became necessary to meet the strong demand from families, aimed at obtaining an autonomous school location outside the municipality of Turin. 

Currently, the Chivasso location has about 220 pupils divided into 12 classes: two first classes, two second classes, two third classes, three fourth classes, and three fifth classes.

The School in Chivasso, houses a kitchen laboratory with an annexed washing room, a pastry laboratory, a rather large restaurant room with an attached preparation office, an American bar, the storeroom and warehouse, the front office, the concierge and a computer laboratory. 

The school has been a member of AEHT (European Association of Hotelier Institutes) for several years and has been the leader of an ERASMUS+ project for the past three years. 

As for transportation services, there is an extensive network of buses that stop just a few meters from the school. 

News: from next year (2023/24) in addition to the two existing courses

("Enogastronomy" related to cooking and "Bar - Restaurant and Sales" related to restaurant management and sales), it will be possible for future students to choose the new course of pastry and baking.

The first two-year course is common for every student.

The cooking sections are: 3G, 4G, 4H, 5G, 5H 

The restaurant sections are: 3M, 4M, 5M
