"Nocciolini di Chivasso"
"Nocciolini di Chivasso" are sweets now known throughout the world that were originally called "Nuasèt." They are made in an exclusively artisanal way: delicious round hazelnuts from Piedmont are, first roasted, then ground and mixed with sugar and egg white. The dough, having reached the ideal consistency, is distributed on the baking sheets in the form of countless little buttons, ready to be baked. Once ready, they are left to cool and packaged in the special pink or transparent bags of different weights.
"Nocciolini di Chivasso" are a Traditional Agri-food Product (PAT). They go perfectly with coffee, zabaglione, and sweet, velvety wines such as Passito di Caluso, Moscato d'Asti, or Bicerin, but are also used as an ingredient in ice cream.
At the end of September, all producers are the protagonists of the Chivasso "Nocciolini" Festival, during which these typical sweets can be tasted and purchased.
